New Pouring Medium, New Techniques and New Finishing Options…….Come join the paint pouring class at the Mercantile at Doylestown being offered by Missy Decker of FUNKtional Art by Missy. Class size is limited to 10.

This class is all about having fun and experiencing fluid art, more commonly known as paint pouring. That’s right, I said pouring….no brushes are used in this class! You will learn how to “dirty pour”, using a Flip Cup technique and well as 1-2 other techniques for you to try. Unleash your inner artist, by choosing your own colors, then mixing and layering the paints in your cup to create great designs and produce something that is truly one-of-a-kind.

As a class participant, you will be provided with a kit that includes everything you need to create your very own paint-pouring masterpiece. We will discuss lingo, tips, and tricks.  In this class we will be using a NEW pouring medium and pouring on four – 4″ ceramic tiles so there will be 4 times the pouring fun and you choose which technique(s) you want to try. It’s totally up to you. Discover the excitement as you watch your art evolve when the fluid motion of the paint creates new patterns and perspectives. You can take your tiles home and use the Aftercare instructions to finish your pieces once dry OR you can opt for the resin finish option. With this new option, you will leave your tiles at the Mercantile, Missy will prep the tiles, apply resin, sand and apply cork backing to each tile. You will be notified in 2-3 weeks when your finished tiles will be ready for pick up at the Mercantile.
